The purpose of the umbrella project NORDIC-RUSSIAN GREEN GROWTH ARENA is to implement green growth development principles in the North-west Russian regions and municipalities based on Nordic experience.
Green Planning Instrument and Strategies. The first round table of the Forum Nordic Green Day main topics:
− Sustainable development strategies and green placebranding
− Implementing green master planning;
− Investing in sustainable infrastructure (energy, transport , water systems, buildings, etc.);
− Promoting sustainable consumption, green lifestyle for citizens and tourists.
Nordic-Russian Greenways. The second round table of the Forum Nordic Green Day focused on the following topics: current problems and challenges for new green approaches and sources for sustainable tourism development, sustainable transport and road safety, promotion non-motorized forms of transport, healthy life-styles and improving the quality of life of local residents and visitors by encouraging active tourism, mobility and enterprise development among local populations and initiate development of accommodation, food and guiding services, galleries and points of sale, supporting grassroots and regional initiatives aimed at cultural, natural and landscape heritage preservation.
Sustainable Hubs and Cleantech Cluster . The final round table of the Forum Nordic Green Day key topics:
− Promotion of Green technologies and clusters, which facilitate economic growth;
− Development of cooperation at all levels – industry, science and government;
− Public-private partnership;
− Creating incentives for investment in the resource-efficient technologies and environmental protection
− Green Cluster development.
